The 187th Airlift Squadron flies the C-130 Hercules. It is a unit of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Its parent unit is the 153rd Airlift Wing.

It was previously known as the 187th Aeromedical Transport Squadron from 1961–1963, then redesignated as the 187th Air Transport Squadron from 1963 to an unknown date, and then as the 187th Airlift Squadron from 1992.[1]
